Magnolia 'Manchu Fan' (Creamy White)

(M. x soulangeana ‘Lennei Alba’) x M. x veitchii

Description: 'Manchu Fan' has tulip-shaped white flowers with a hint of pink at the base of the tepals seen midway through the flowering season on upright small trees. The flowers are smaller than many, but the affect is not lessened due to their profusion.

History: This clone is one of the original Greshams.

Magnolia Growing Tips: Full sun to part shade lover, best grown in consistently moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. Provide sheltered site as buds and flowers may be damaged by cold winds, and late frosts. Shape and size can be controlled by pruning which should be done either immediately after flowering or during late summer.

Height and Spread (after 10 years): 4m x 3m
