Description: A large deciduous tree with spreading or arching branches and glossy, deep green leaves turning yellow in autumn. Clusters of small, sweetly scented creamy-yellow flowers appear from June.
History: In cultivation since 1860. Believed to be a cross of T. cordata and T. dasystyla.
Tilia Growing Tips: Grows readily on light or heavy soils and will put up with temporarily soaking ground. Avoid growing in very dry conditions or exposure to very strong winds.
