Tree Production Manager Location: Worcestershire Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Hours: Full-time, flexibility required during peak seasons About the Role We are looking for an experienced and motivated Tree Production Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of our container production department. This is a varied and hands-on management role, leading a team while overseeing crop production, irrigation, potting operations, stock management, crop health, and future production planning. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring production targets are achieved. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and develop the Container Unit team. Manage irrigation systems, programmes, and water resources. Plan and coordinate potting schedules and production activities. Monitor crop health and liaise with agronomists and Pest & Disease specialists. Oversee stock, quality standards, and production materials. Manage growing media requirements and supplier relationships. Plan space utilisation and future production requirements. Drive efficiency improvements, trials, and innovation within the department. Use stock, sales, and computer systems to support planning and reporting. About You The ideal candidate will have: Experience in horticulture, nursery production, or a similar management role. Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent plant knowledge and understanding of container-grown production. Good organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities. Experience with irrigation systems and crop management. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and other computer systems. A proactive, motivated approach with a focus on quality and continuous improvement. Flexibility and willingness to learn and develop.
