Trained Fruit Trees
We have a selection of beautifully trained Apple and Pear trees, some of which have been expertly pruned for over 6 years. Step over trees are perfect for edging vegetable beds and creating a visual break between path and border as they only stand 45cm tall, and also add structure to the garden in the winter. Fan, espalier, candelabra and informal acure lepage, these specimens will stand 2m tall and 3-4m wide. Our espalier trees have 4 tiers with 45cm between each tier. Over 200 trees growing in our orchard are trained into these different forms, each tree is planted as a maiden and pruned accordingly.
