Cornus alternifolia 'Golden Shadows'

Description: 'Golden Shadows' naturally grows with a distinctive horizontal branching habit, which gives it a strong but not overwhelming presence. Heart-shaped leaves are large and brilliantly coloured with wide, canary-yellow margins blending dramatically into solid green centres. This tree also produces clusters of lacy white blossoms in spring, followed by navy-blue berries in summer which wild birds appreciate.

Cornus Growing Tips: Thrives in fertile, humus-rich, neutral to acid soil. Unsuitable for shallow, chalky soils.

Height and Spread (after 10 years): 3.6m x 3m
