Description: Van is an old variety from Canada used in breeding of the self fertile modern varieties. Heavy crops of very firm and large, true black cherries. Eating quality is superb, best eaten straight from the tree! Can also be used in cooking for pies and even liqueurs.

History: Bred in Canada in 1944.
