Disanthus cercidifolius

Description: Medium-sized deciduous shrub with wide-spreading branches and large, rounded, heart-shaped blue-green leaves turning deep crimson, purple and orange in autumn. Tiny red-purple flowers are seen in October. Does best in rich, acidic soils positioned in dappled shade away from drying winds.
