Muscat Alexandria Vines

Vines

Description: Muscat Alexandria is an ancient vine, considered by wine experts to be one of the oldest unmodified vines still in existence. Second early white Muscat of high quality producing large succulent dessert grapes with sweet Muscat flavours and scent. Very popular in the Austrailian and South African wine industry. Delicious when it's added into desserts or wine-making and juicing.

History: Originates from North Africa from the Islands of Samos, and Lemnos in the Northern Easten Aegean region of Greece.

Indoor Vine Growing Tips: It's best grown indoors in an unheated greenhouse. Place potted vines outdoors in winter to get sufficient cold. Water frequently during the growing season, and feed with high potash liquid fertiliser once growth starts. Pollination needs a dry atmosphere. Gently shaking branches aids pollination.
