Description: This upright, small tree with very glossy foliage has several burst of flowers throughout the growing season, starting mid-spring through to mid-summer. The blooms are goblet shaped with deep wine red outer tepals, and rose white inner tepals, making for a striking contrast.

History: Bred by August Kehr, North Carolina in 1997.

Magnolia Growing Tips: Full sun to part shade lover, best grown in consistently moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. Provide sheltered site as buds and flowers may be damaged by cold winds, and late frosts. Shape and size can be controlled by pruning which should be done either immediately after flowering or during late summer.
