Description: A large shrub eventually becoming a small broad spreading tree, with blue-green obovate to elliptical leaves. Large white, fragrant flowers with crimson bud like centres bloom later than most Magnolia from May, sometimes through the summer.

Magnolia Growing Tips: Full sun to part shade lover, best grown in consistently moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. Provide sheltered site as buds and flowers may be damaged by cold winds, and late frosts. Shape and size can be controlled by pruning which should be done either immediately after flowering or during late summer.
