Magnolia ‘Sweetheart’ (Pink) Magnolia

Magnolia

M. sprengeri var. diva ‘Diva’ x M. sargentiana var. robusta

Description: This hardy, deciduous Magnolia has a neat, upright habit, maturing to an attractive small tree. Opening from softly furry buds, the petals are deep pink on the outside and paler pink inside each flower.

History: Bred by Peter Cave. Received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit in 2012.

Magnolia Growing Tips: Full sun to part shade lover, best grown in consistently moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soils.
