Mexican Weeping Pine

Description: A most beautiful pine with long graceful branches, light tan coloured bark and bright green leaves up to 30cm long. The very large, twisted cones are very conspicuous and the well spaced branches add to its elegance. 

History: First described in 1831 by Schiede ex Schlechtendal and Chamisso. Received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.

Pinus Growing Tips: Requires moist but well-drained soil and a sunny position. Copes with all soil types. Hardy in England and Wales and the west of Scotland.

Height and Spread (after 10 years): 6m x 4m
