Prunus maackii 'Amber Beauty'

Manchurian Cherry

Description: A medium-sized, conical, deciduous tree with shiny, golden-brown bark, peeling once mature. Small, scented, fluffy, white flowers are produced in clusters in spring, followed by small, black, cherry-like fruit. The oval to narrow oval leaves have a finely serrated edge, bright green in summer, turning yellow or red and gold in the autumn following a hot summer.

History: Raised in Holland.

Prunus Growing Tips: Best grown in well-drained soil, in full sun to achieve the best flower display and autumn colour. Will tolerate most soil types including chalk and clay.
