A tree that has been grown in the field and then lifted out of the ground when dormant. Available from November to March. The roots are more open and the direct contact with the soil encourages them to settle in and establish more readily.
These are 2yr old trees that have been grown 1yr in the field and the second in a pot. Container trees can be planted at any time of the year but establish best when planted during the autumn and need to be watered well during the first summer.

Rounded tree with dark green, oval leaves turning purple in autumn. Large, white, pointed bracts in summer.

Deciduous small tree. Flower bracts are deep rose red in spring. Good autumn leaf colour.
North American Flowering Dogwood
Pure white bracts with green centres. Variegated leaves, good autumn colour. Height after 10yr 4m/13ft.
Cornelian Cherry
Spreading, open habit. Oval green leaves, reddish purple in autumn. Yellow flowers in February with edible fruit.
Adundant yellow flowers in winter and large edible red ‘droop’ fruit in the autumn. Makes great jelly.
Fine profuse form with white bracts flowering at an early age. Leaves emerge burgundy later turning forest green.
A vigorous medium size shrub ideal for coppicing, with its spectacular orange yellow stems in winter.
Large, spreading, semi-evergreen variety. Large white bracts, turn pink as they mature. Red fruits in autumn.
