A tree that has been grown in the field and then lifted out of the ground when dormant. Available from November to March. The roots are more open and the direct contact with the soil encourages them to settle in and establish more readily.
These are 2yr old trees that have been grown 1yr in the field and the second in a pot. Container trees can be planted at any time of the year but establish best when planted during the autumn and need to be watered well during the first summer.
Nutritious, bright red berries are tart in flavour. Packed with nutrients and vitamins. Make an exceptionally, well flavoured, traditional cranberry sauce and tasty juice. The Cranberry bush is an excellent fruiting plant. They’re evergreen and have clusters of lovely pink flowers in spring. Small, leathery leaves offer fabulous colours in the autumn.
The cranberry bush can be grown in pots. Prefer being in a full sun position in a moist, free-draining soil. Fast growing, very hardy and self fertile. Cut back in the winter to remove any unwanted shoots, which will encourage growth for the following year. The perfect addition to any healthy lifestyle!
