Raspberry canes are hardy vigorous plants ideal for any garden, especially cooler regions. Raspberries serve many purposes and can be eaten fresh, made into jams and preserves, used in pies, yoghurts and more.
Raspberry bushes thrive in moisture-retentive, fertile, slightly acidic soils which are well-drained. They prefer being planted in sunny sheltered locations, although they will tolerate partial shade.
Regular pruning will result in healthier and better quality plants. All varieties are self-fertile and are pollinated by insects.
