Frank P Matthews Tree Nursery featured on BBC Gardeners’ World

09/03/2016

Last year we were delighted to be asked by BBC presenter Joe Swift if we would like to be featured on BBC Gardeners’ World. Naturally we said yes so in September, Joe and the BBC Gardeners’ World film crew visited our nursery and spent a day filming in the autumn sunshine.

The result is a lovely special feature on the first spring episode broadcast on Friday 4th March. On the show Nick Dunn discusses the value that trees can bring to the garden with spring blossom, summer foliage, autumn fruit and winter bark.

Special attention is given to our ‘Patio’ range of trees which are naturally small or grown on dwarfing rootstocks so there is a tree for every garden – no matter how tiny. A choice of favourite trees are picked out from the nursery lines to inspire and delight.
