Frank P Matthews Win RHS Award at Malvern Autumn Show 2019

Frank P Matthews has been awarded the Stanley Lord Bowl for the Best Exhibit at the RHS Malvern Autumn Show in 2019.

We were delighted to be awarded the Stanley Lord Bowl for our fruit exhibit at the RHS Malvern Autumn Show.

This is awarded for the best fruit exhibit shown to the RHS during the year at any of its shows. It was originally provided in 1998 by the Gardeners’ Royal Benevolent Society (now Perennial), and is on loan from the Worshipful Company of Gardeners.

Our special exhibit at the Malvern Show included hundreds of different varieties of apples, and many other types of fruit in an eye-catching display. All the fruit was gathered from our mother orchards on the nursery.

The RHS presented dozens of awards to horticulturists at its annual prize-giving ceremony at Vincent Square on Monday, 6th September. The ceremony had been delayed due to Covid.
