Description: Abies concolor 'Violacea' is one of the best fir varieties available with very silvery-blue needles. Very decorative large, greyish-blue cones with brown tips. The tree is conical, quite symmetrical forming layers of irregular branches. A naturally smallish tree so ideal for smaller gardens. Very hardy and quite slow growing.
Abies Growing Tips: Easy in most conditions and in any reasonably well-drained soil, other than shallow chalk. Prefers to be planted in an open, sunny position.
