Acer triflorum


Description: Acer triflorum, also known as Three Flowered Maple is a slow growing, broadly spreading tree with attractive pale grey-brown peeling bark. The pale green leaves turn into brilliant orange and crimson in autumn. Tiny yellow-green clusters of flowers appear during spring. Tolerates semi-shade but colours best in full sun. An attractive and elegant specimen tree!

History: Recieved an Award of Garden Merit from The Royal Horticultural Society.

Acer Growing Tips: Very easy to grow in a wide range of well-drained soils. They thrive in sun but with partial shade to protect the leaves from scorch. A sheltered area away from strong winds is preferred.
