Albizia julibrissin 'Rosea'
Description: Albizia julibrissin 'Rosea' is a small very hardy, broadly spreading tree that can often flat topped. Dark pink fluffy flower-heads appear on top of the dark green feathery leaves in late summer. Growing on a wall can improve flowering. A magnificent variety that will add an exotic feel to any garden.
History: Introduced by Ernest Wilson from the Korean peninsula in 1918. Received an Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.
Albizia Growing Tips: Grow best in warm, sheltered sites on well drained and even impoverished soils. Easy to train as an informal fan across a south-facing wall or fence. Very suitable for milder parts of the UK but must be protected from frost.
