Parentage: Ingrid Marie x Elstar

Description: Sweet Society is an attractive classic Cox type apple, slightly small but with a superb aromatic eating quality. Appearance is similar to a good coloured Cox with attractive russet streaks and a good red flush on a yellow green background. The flavour is sweet and rich. The tree is quite bushy in habit, produces spurs well. Shy cropping.

History: Bred by Hugh Ermen in Kent. Part of a range of plants and trees selected by the RHS to celebrate their Bicentennial in 2004.
