Dunkertons Late Apple Cider

Apple Cider

Description: Dunkertons Late is a late season cider apple. The fruit is green flushed orange, turning slightly yellow when ripe. Flesh is pale yellow-green, a very firm and chewy texture and sweet in taste. Makes a light, sweet and fruity cider on it's own. More suitable as a trained tree rather than for an orchard.

History: Raised by Mr Dunkerton, of Baltonsborough, nr Glastonbury in the 1940s. Thought to be a seedling saved from promace.
