Description: Early Rivers is a very popular, reliable eating variety. A black cherry that's noted for it's earliness and exceptional fruit size. Heavy crops of large, heart-shaped, red to black cherries with very dark flesh; flavour is delicious. A very vigorous and spreading habit. Some resistance to leaf spot and fruit splitting.

History: Originates from the famous Rivers Nursery at Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire in 1869. Grown for hundreds of years in Kent and still remains well-known to the area.
