Full Description
Description:
Martin is a compact and well branched plant. Blue/black oblong fruits, similar in eating quality to Blueberries but without the necessity for acid soil. High in vitamin C. Delicious eaten fresh or can be cooked into jams, jellies, yoghurt or ice cream.
Honeyberry Growing Tips: Best planted in the spring to avoid frosts. Prefers well drained soil that is rich in organic matter and in a sunny location. Feed with a fertiliser once a year. Prune in mid-summer after harvesting, slightly thinning out the overcrowded shoots by removing down to the base and remove fresh young shoots.
