Parentage: Pond's Seedling x Coe's Golden Drop

Description: Laxtons Delicious is a high quality, reliable late plum. Produces heavy crops of beautiful pinky-red fruits that have lavender blue blooms and russet dots. Flesh is golden yellow, very juicy and has a rich sugary flavour. Suitable as a dessert or culinary use, delicious when eaten straight from the tree but also cooks nicely into cakes, desserts and jams.

History: Raised by Laxton Brothers of Bedford in 1902. Later introduced in 1924. Recieved an Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society in 1934.
