Erika® Raspberry

Raspberry

Primocane

Description: Erika® is a new primocane variety of excellent quality. The berries are reddish-orange in colour and quite large in size. The taste is sweet with a complex fruity flavour and very juicy. Good firmness which holds the berries together. The fruits have an excellent shelf life, can be eaten fresh from the bush or cooked into sweet dishes, Raspberry jams, Raspberry gin or frozen. A great variety for beginners being easy to grow and great for small spaces or patio growing.

History: Developed in Italy.

Raspberry Growing Tips: Thrive in moisture-retentive, fertile, slightly acidic soils which are well-drained. Prefer being planted in sunny sheltered locations, although they will tolerate partial shade. Regular pruning will result in healthier and better quality plants. All varieties are self fertile and are pollinated by insects.
