Magnolia 'Theodora' (Pink)

M. 'Dark Shadow' x M. campbellii mollicomata

Description: A rounded to broadly spreading deciduous tree with candle-like, deep pink-purple blooms, revealing paler pink inside as they open.

History: Raised by Maurice Foster and named after his granddaughter.

Magnolia Growing Tips: Full sun to part shade lover, best grown in consistently moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. Provide sheltered site as buds and flowers may be damaged by cold winds, and late frosts. Shape and size can be controlled by pruning which should be done either immediately after flowering or during late summer.
