Description: Acer campestre 'Green Column' is a wonderful, more upright columnar version of the Field Maple. The young leaves shoot through with a pretty pink flush, turning green in the summer and then lively shades of orange-red in the autumn. In May, the tree produces small yellow panicles of flowers which adds an all year round interest. Perfect for planting in public spaces such as parks and narrow streets.
Acer (Maple) Growing Tips: Very easy to grow in a wide range of well-drained soils. They thrive in sun but with partial shade to protect the leaves from scorch. A sheltered area away from strong winds is preferred.
