Full Description
Description: A robust bushy shrub which produces beautiful bright primrose yellow catkins in February, turning to gold as they age. Catkins are followed by attractive yellow-green foliage in spring. Easily grown in most soil, this hardy, deciduous tree can be coppiced or hard pruned in spring. Excellent as a contrast to the red forms such as Corylus avellana ‘Red Majestic’ and Corylus maxima ‘Purpurea’.
Corylus Growing Tips: Will grow well in most soils, preferring a moist, well-drained site. For the best foliage colour, plant in full sun.
Height and Spread (after 10 years): 4m x 3m
