Description: Thought to be a cylindrica hybrid with large, 9" wide, white cup-and-saucer flowers produced before the leaves appear in spring. Makes a multi-stemmed small tree.

History: Named after the well respected Keeper of the Savill Gardens.

Magnolia Growing Tips: Full sun to part shade lover, best grown in consistently moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. Provide sheltered site as buds and flowers may be damaged by cold winds, and late frosts. Shape and size can be controlled by pruning which should be done either immediately after flowering or during late summer.
