Description: A relatively quick growing variety forming an open, pyramid shaped, small tree with maturity. Producing large, deep yellow flowers with a pink tint at the base.

History: Bred by August Kehr, Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, New York City, USA.

Magnolia Growing Tips: Full sun to part shade lover, best grown in consistently moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. Provide sheltered site as buds and flowers may be damaged by cold winds, and late frosts. Shape and size can be controlled by pruning which should be done either immediately after flowering or during late summer.
