Description: A slow-growing, deciduous shrub or small tree with a spreading habit. Lightly-scented pale pink buds unfurl to white. Flowers are borne profusely on bare branches before the oblong mid-green leaves.

Magnolia Growing Tips: Full sun to part shade lover, best grown in consistently moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. Provide sheltered site as buds and flowers may be damaged by cold winds, and late frosts. Shape and size can be controlled by pruning which should be done either immediately after flowering or during late summer.
