Description: An evergreen conifer which forms an attractive upright shape naturally, very tightly branched with a compact growth habit. Beautiful yellowy green needle-like foliage, and bright red fleshy fruit in summer.

History: Received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.

Taxus Growing Tips: Tolerant of a wide range of growing conditions including shade and chalk but not waterlogged or poor draining soil. Will tolerate exposure, dry soils and urban pollution.

Most parts of the plant are toxic, particularly if foliage is eaten by animals.
