Glen Clova

Description: Glen Clova is a very popular, early fruiting variety. Good yielding and good crops of medium sized red berries that are very flavoursome and succulent. The fruits have an excellent shelf life, can be eaten fresh from the bush or cooked into sweet dishes, Raspberry jams, Raspberry gin or frozen. A great variety for beginners being easy to grow and great for small spaces or patio growing. Quite a vigorous habit. A healthy tree with good disease resistance.

History: Bred in Scotland in 1960.

Raspberry Growing Tips: Thrive in moisture-retentive, fertile, slightly acidic soils which are well-drained. Prefer being planted in sunny sheltered locations, although they will tolerate partial shade. Regular pruning will result in healthier and better quality plants. All varieties are self fertile and are pollinated by insects.
