A tree that has been grown in the field and then lifted out of the ground when dormant. Available from November to March. The roots are more open and the direct contact with the soil encourages them to settle in and establish more readily.
These are 2yr old trees that have been grown 1yr in the field and the second in a pot. Container trees can be planted at any time of the year but establish best when planted during the autumn and need to be watered well during the first summer.
Maple
A small tree with a compact and narrow, upright habit with good, orange-red autumn colour.
Birch
Wonderful for the small garden with a gleaming white bark from an early age. Upright, graceful and light in stature.
The Chocolate Birch
A narrow and upright fast growing birch which has a wonderful dark, chocolate coloured stem.
Hornbeam
Pyramidal habit, narrow when young and broadening as it matures. Good autumn colours of mellow yellow.
Upright Golden Beech
Upright in habit with bright golden leaves which eventually fade to a mellow yellow-green mid summer.
Upright Purple Beech
Upright form with red new leaves turning rich dark purple before falling. Height after 10yrs 4m x 1.5m.

Large, fastigiate tree with young lemon green leaves maturing to bright lime green.
Juniper
Upright narrow form. Blue/green foliage similar to ‘Skyrocket’, but more compact and deeper in colour. 2.5m after 10yrs.
Crab Apple
Lovely variety with long, dark, healthy leaves. Ivory white flowers and clusters of dark red fruits. Disease resistant.
Similar impressive double pink flowers to M. ‘Pink Perfection’ but with a neat upright habit and small yellow fruits.
Flowering Plum
Narrow, columnar tree ideal for small gardens. Vibrant purple leaves and white flowers in spring.
Alder Buckthorn
A good ornamental form with finely textured scalloped leaves. Attractive flowers for bees and black fruit in autumn for birds.
