A tree that has been grown in the field and then lifted out of the ground when dormant. Available from November to March. The roots are more open and the direct contact with the soil encourages them to settle in and establish more readily.
These are 2yr old trees that have been grown 1yr in the field and the second in a pot. Container trees can be planted at any time of the year but establish best when planted during the autumn and need to be watered well during the first summer.
Dwarf Weeping Birch
Hardy, dwarf birch to 2m with fine, feathery and delicately cut, greenish yellow leaves. Catkins in spring.
Youngs Weeping Birch
Weeping tree, branches reach the ground. White bark with black fissures. Serrated, glossy green leaves, golden in autumn.
Weeping Redbud
Steeply pendulous small tree with glowing, golden yellow, heart-shaped leaves. Pink flowers in April/May.
Red Bud
A graceful weeping form with rich purple foliage, similar to ‘Forest Pansy’. Bright pink, pea like flowers in spring.
Graceful, weeping tree with arching branches, bearing white pea like flowers in spring. Light green, heart shaped foliage.
Beech
Weeping purple beech with a narrow growth habit. Leaves are rich dark purple. Height after 10yr 5m x 1.5m.
Classic weeping tree with a mushroom shape and dark purple leaves. Height after 10 years up to 4m.
A good weeping purple beech more compact and with deeper red purple foliage. Leaves open brown and go almost black.

Large parkland tree with unique weeping shapes with the limbs draped with hanging branchlets.
The weeping Forsythia with dark green leaves. Bright yellow flowers cover the tree in late winter to early spring.
Japanese Flowering Cherry
Weeping tree with arching branches bearing double pink flowers in spring. Height after 10yrs 2.5m x 2.5m.
Kilmarnock Willow
Small umbrella like tree, weeping with large silver male catkins in spring. Height after 10 years up to 1.5m.
