A tree that has been grown in the field and then lifted out of the ground when dormant. Available from November to March. The roots are more open and the direct contact with the soil encourages them to settle in and establish more readily.
These are 2yr old trees that have been grown 1yr in the field and the second in a pot. Container trees can be planted at any time of the year but establish best when planted during the autumn and need to be watered well during the first summer.
Maple
Deeply lobed leaves open red then turn green through summer. Lovely autumn colours. Frost hardy.
Dwarf Weeping Birch
Hardy, dwarf birch to 2m with fine, feathery and delicately cut, greenish yellow leaves. Catkins in spring.
Cedar
A striking evergreen with silvery blue spring growth with pendulous tips, that gradually matures to green.
An interesting cedar standing out with its bright chartreuse green needles in summer and bronze gold winter colour.
Red Bud
A beautiful weeping form. Small lavender flowers in spring and golden autumn colour.
Weeping Redbud
Steeply pendulous small tree with glowing, golden yellow, heart-shaped leaves. Pink flowers in April/May.
A graceful weeping form with rich purple foliage, similar to 'Forest Pansy'. Bright pink, pea like flowers in spring.
Graceful, weeping tree with arching branches, bearing white pea like flowers in spring. Light green, heart shaped foliage.
Beech
A good weeping purple beech more compact and with deeper red purple foliage. Leaves open brown and go almost black.
Weeping Beech
Large parkland tree with unique weeping shapes with the limbs draped with hanging branchlets.
Weeping purple beech with a narrow growth habit. Leaves are rich dark purple. Height after 10yr 5m x 1.5m.
Classic weeping tree with a mushroom shape and dark purple leaves. Height after 10 years up to 4m.
