Description: Bakers Delicious is a very handsome, high quality second early dessert apple. Pale golden yellow flushed bright orange-red with faint broken stripes and very little russet. Deep cream flesh, rich and juicy with lots of sugar and aromatic in flavour. A fine, early cropping garden variety that tastes it's best when it's eaten straight from the tree. Beautiful clusters of pinkish-white blossom appears during the spring. A healthy variety that's resistant to scab and mildew.
History: Found in Wales and introduced by Bakers of Codsall, Wolverhampton, England in 1932. On trial at the National Fruit Trials, UK in 1947-64.
