Description: Lord Lambourne is a high quality dessert apple, an old favourite! Medium-sized, flushed deep red with broken striped fruit. Flesh is creamy white, firm, strong and juicy. Moderately sweet, aromatic with some flavour of strawberry. Grown on some fruit farms in England and in private gardens.
History: Raised by Laxton Brothers Ltd. at Bedford, England in 1907 and introduced in 1923. Received Bunyard Cup from Royal Horticultural Society in 1923.
