Parentage: Red Charles Ross x Tetraploid Jonathan

Description: Jumbo is a dual-purpose, mid-season apple that has an exceptionally sized fruit. Skin is flushed and striped red on a pale green background with a deep red blush and attractive red flecks. Golden cream flesh that has a refreshing acidic, aromatic flavour. Particularly good for baking as it retains its colour, shape and flavour.

History: Bred by English apple breeder Hugh Ermen in Kent, 2000.
