Core Blimey™ Apple

Description: Apple Core Blimey is a highly flavoured Cox-like apple, but easier to grow than the popular Cox. The attractive red fruits are wonderfully aromatic, juicy and crisp. Appears to be disease resitstant which makes it suitable for growing in almost any area of the UK. A beautiful cluster of pure white blossom in the spring and very easy to grow. Very strong vigour making it suitable for growing in any area of the UK. The apples will store in a cool place well into January.

History: Developed by Frank P Matthews in Kent in 2008 for The Urban Orchard Project, a charity that promotes orchard and fruit tree growing. It's cockney name was chosen to encapsulate London.
