Description: Gennet Moyal is a cooking apple that has orange-red flush with a slight russety cheek. Flesh is creamy white, tender, rather dry but rich and sharp. With little sugar this variety cooks to a sharp, flavoursome lemon purée. Gennet Moyle makes a mild cider ‘fit to be drunk by ladies in summer’ and even good for jam!
History: Possibly originates from Hereford in the 19th Century.
