Valor Plum

Plum

Parentage: Imperial Epineuse x Grand Duke

Description: Valor is an excellent culinary plum. Produces heavy crops of large, royal purple fruits that have light purple bloom. The flesh is greenish-yellow, juicy and sweet. Ripens very late in the season, this tree allows you to have a longer plum fruiting season. Tasty when eaten fresh from the tree or cooked into pies, crumbles and cakes. Attractive green leaves and white blossom in the spring contrasts the lovely dark purple fruits. Some resistance to Plum Pox Virus.

History: Disovered in vineland in Canada 1968. Recieved an Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society in 1995.
