Cercidiphyllum japonicum ‘Tidal Wave’ Cercidiphyllum

Cercidiphyllum

Description: 'Tidal Wave' is an exceptionally vigorous, weeping katsura, similar to that of the more well-known Cercidiphyllum japonicum 'Pendulum', with trailing branches and heart-shaped leaves which turn attractive shades of yellow and orange in autumn before falling, producing a caramel scented fragrance.

Cercidiphyllum Growing Tips: Moist but well drained, acidic soils. Will tolerate some lime but will grow better and produce more vivid autumn colour in acid soil. Very hardy but vulnerable to late spring frosts as a young plant. Grows best in an area sheltered from strong winds.
