Description: Cercis 'Oklahoma', also known as Oklahoma Redbud, is a dramatic display of wine-red flowers smothers the branches for 2 to 3 weeks in early spring. Lustrous heart-shaped foliage emerges with a soft pink tinge as the flowers fade then matures to a rich green. Superior autumn coloration which is predominantly yellow but has also been known to turn orange and purple as well.

History: Discovered growing wild in the Arbuckle Mountains of the US state of Oklahoma in 1964.

Cercis Growing Tips: Performs best in moderately fertile well drained soils. The best flower production occurs in full sun but part shade is best in hot summer climates.
