Euonymus alatus ‘Compactus’ Spindle

Description: 'Compactus', also known as Winged Spindle is compact, dense, bushy, deciduous shrub or small tree with dark green leaves which gently arch and curl at their tips, turning brilliant shades of strawberry-red in autumn. This shrub also offers interest in early winter when its reddish purple fruits burst open to reveal bright orange seeds. The bark develops prominent corky ridges which are revealed after the leaves fall.

History: Originated from Asia.
