Description: This majestic, deciduous Magnolia has an upright habit, forming a handsome tree with maturity. A late flowering M. campbellii with exceptionally dark pink or wine-coloured, fragrant flowers.

History: Propagated through cuttings from a tree growing in the Lloyd Botanic Garden in Darjeeling, India. Named by Hillier Nurseries Winchester.

Magnolia Growing Tips: Full sun to part shade lover, best grown in consistently moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. Provide sheltered site as buds and flowers may be damaged by cold winds, and late frosts. Shape and size can be controlled by pruning which should be done either immediately after flowering or during late summer.
