Description: Buckingham is the most exciting new hybrid, the only thornfree Tayberry that produces large, deliciously sweet, aromatic and succulent fruits that can be up to 5cm long! Best picked when they're red to deep purple in colour. Tasty when eaten as a dessert or they can be frozen to store and eaten fresh. Very easy to pick, easy to grow and quick to establish. A healthy tree with good disease resistance and hardiness.
History: Discovered in Buckinghamshire, UK.
Tayberry Growing Tips: Tayberry are happy planted into any well-drained soil, ideally in a sunny position although they will tolerate partial shade. Support the stems on framework of wires or train against a trellis, fence or wall. Also grows well in containers. In the Spring, apply a general fertiliser.
