Description: Edward VII is a late-keeping cooking apple. Skin is a smooth, green-yellow with russet dots and pale yellow, fairly juicy flesh.The fruit is a good rounded shape, ideal for easy peeling and cooks to a good cream purée, an excellent all round cooker. Also resistant to scab and frost. Mostly grown commercially on a small scale in the UK but also a very good garden variety!
Parentage: Blenheim Orange x Golden Noble
History: First recorded in 1902 and introduced by Rowe of Worcester, England in 1908. Received an Award of Merit from Royal Horticultural Society in 1903.
