Description: Jonagold is a promising variety with high quality fruit. It's flush is dark red with darker red stripes and a slight grey russet. A creamy white, juicy and sweet flesh that has a rich honeyed aromatic flavour. Popular for all kinds of culinary uses, good for cider and juice to. An excellent keeper!

History: Raised at the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station, Geneva, New York, USA in 1943. First fruited in 1953 and was later introduced in 1968.
